There are many story-lines going into the postseason including whether the Miami Heat can once again defend their crown and LeBron can get his 3rd straight NBA Championship. Can the Spurs bounce back after their disappointing loss in the 2013 Finals? Will the Oklahoma City Thunder get over the hump and Mr. Durant finally get to hold the Larry O'Brien Trophy? Can the Clippers find a way to make a deep postseason run under head coach Doc Rivers with floor general Chris Paul and prove there's room for more than one championship NBA team in the City of Angels?

Let's take a quick peak at the current NBA standings as we continue with our 2014 NBA postseason preview.

Eastern Conference Standings:

1.) Indiana Pacers
2.) Miami Heat
3.) Toronto Raptors

5.) Brooklyn Nets
6.) Washington Wizards
7.) Charlotte Bobcats
8.) Atlanta Hawks

Western Conference Standings:

1.) San Antonio Spurs

8.) Phoenix Suns

2014 NBA Playoff Preview

Surprise Teams and Underdogs

These are the current standings for 1-8 seeds in each conference however with around 10 games remaining other teams still have an outside chance at taking over the 7th or 8th seeds. In the Eastern Conference the Knicks, Cavaliers, Detroit Pistons, and Boston Celtics are still alive. The most notable team is the New York Knicks who have been underachieving since they acquired Carmelo Anthony. The Knicks have the best shot at overtaking the Hawks for the 8th spot with only 3 games separating the teams.

In the Western Conference, besides the 8 teams listed, there are technically 3 other teams still alive in the playoff picture. Although the Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Timberwolves are mathematically still breathing the Dallas Mavericks are the only of the three who could easily flip-flop with the Suns and Grizzlies for the 7th or 8th seed during the next 2 weeks of the regular season.

So far this years surprises have been the Toronto Raptors, Phoenix Suns, and Chicago Bulls. Yes the Bulls have had a great nucleus over the past few years but with former MVP Derrick Rose going out early in the season once again it looked like another wasted season for Chicago. The Bulls have come on strong since the All-Star break with MVP-like performances from Joakim Noah and stellar guard play from DJ Augustine. Look for Chicago to make some noise during the 1st and 2nd rounds. The Toronto Raptors could find themselves entering the 2nd and possibly the 3rd round this year under head coach Dwane Casey with scoring star DeMar DeRozan. The Raptors also have consistent play from Amir Johnson and Terrence Ross.

Front-Runners and Favorites

This years favorites for the NBA's Larry O'Brien Trophy include powerhouse teams from both the Eastern and Western Conference. In the east nobody would be surprised if the Miami Heat 3 Peat, however maybe 2014 is the year for the Indiana Pacers to bump King James off of his thrown. In the west the San Antonio Spurs, Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, and the Los Angeles Clippers all find themselves in prime position to get to the NBA "Promised Land".

Regardless if you're a fan of one of the underdogs or you want to see another title for the Spurs or Heat we have all your NBA playoff ticket needs online for discount prices at www.HotBoxTickets.com

Men's Basketball National Championship - Monday April 7, 2014 8:00PM - AT&T Stadium - Arlington, TX

So now that we've got the game schedule posted for all you bracketology nuts let us pour out some of our predictions and teams to look out for come March 18th. As of right now the official Top 10 teams are Florida, Wichita State, Arizona, Duke, Virginia, Villanova, Syracuse, Kansas, Wisconsin, and San Diego State respectively.

Of these teams we believe Florida and Arizona have the best chance at getting to the Final Four in Arlington, TX. Yes Wichita State has been a great team and could find themselves at AT&T Stadium however we believe their undefeated run will only make it through the Sweet 16 to the Elite 8 of this years bracket.

Teams having legitimate potential to make a run towards a 2014 Final Four appearance and possible National Championship include Duke, Syracuse, and don't sleep on Louisville as having an outside shot as repeat champions. The rest of the Top 25 has some very dangerous threats who could easily knock out some of the higher seeds late in the tournament if they can make it through the early rounds. A deep Iowa Hawkeyes team, a surging North Carolina Tar Heels squad, the veteran led Creighton Bluejays, and an experienced Cincinnati Bearcats roster could all make noise in this years tournament. Keep in mind the Memphis Tigers, Michigan State, and Oklahoma as well.

Nobody knows how the bracket will look when it's all over however you can be sure the excitement and intensity will be high as ever in this annual win or go home basketball tourney. MLB Tickets On Sale Now - 2014 Major League Baseball Starts Late March

Okay so it's late February and Spring Training starts in less than 24 hours from the time of this post. Hot Box Tickets is proud to announce that 2014 MLB tickets are now on sale at www.HotBoxTickets.com and we have discount tickets for each and every organization from the AL and NL.

The 2014 season is sure to excite from start to finish with new rules and rosters. With Major League Baseball implementing a new replay/challenge rule in 2014 there will be a whole new aspect for fans and analysts to dissect after each and every contest. As a fan of our national pastime this new rule change has been a long time coming. Who can forget the perfect game that wasn't (June 2, 2010) when umpire Jim Joyce cost Tigers pitcher Galarraga a chance at history by blowing an obvious call with 2 outs in the ninth inning? Of course there are dozens of other questionable calls and straight out horrible calls/non-calls that could be mentioned and those are the ones the 2014 replay rule addition is intended for. No longer will we have to worry so much about blatant missed calls down the line or those oh so badly called homers and non-homers!

So new rosters of course are in affect and with the new lineups and bullpens comes new expectations for each major league squad. If you're looking to buy discount mlb tickets in 2014 there are certainly hot selling teams with great expectations this summer.

Hot Selling Baseball Tickets In 2014

  • Seattle Mariners Tickets - with the biggest acquisition of the MLB off-season the Mariners picked up All-Star and former World Series Champ 2B Robinson Cano. Cano is sure to help revive the baseball spirit in the Northwest which deserves to be there!
  • Kansas City Royals Tickets - the loyal Midwest fan base should continue to have a reason to buy tickets this summer with the franchise's current rise from bottom feeders in the American League to one of teams to watch for in the majors. Omar Infante, Jason Vargas, and James Shields are definite fan favorites and will surely help ticket sales throughout the 2014 season.
  • Atlanta Braves Tickets - No surprise here right? The Braves some how always rise towards the top of the MLB standings come September and October which explains why the Braves' fan base is one of the largest in not only baseball but any team sport worldwide. Braves tickets will be a hot seller once again in 2014, Guaranteed!
  • St Louis Cardinals Tickets - Once again this year's Cardinals team will have a great opportunity to make a run towards a World Series title translating to high volume ticket sales and many prime time match ups!
  • Los Angeles Dodgers Tickets - Greatest threat to the St Louis Cardinals National League dominance may be found with the starting pitchers of the LA Dodgers in 2014. Dan Haren, Paul Maholm, Zack Greinke, and Clayton Kershaw should be able to rival any rotation in both AL and NL. It will be the summer of Blue in Los Angeles, mark our words for it!

We aren't saying this season will be the greatest in Major League Baseball history, but we will promise that no matter what game you attend in 2014 you'll have the opportunity to see history in the making, ground breaking replay rules put into use for the first time, and several of the leagues greatest position players live when you get tickets from Hot Box Tickets (HBT)!

Manny Pacquiao Timothy Bradley Tickets Now Available for April 2014 Rematch

Back in June of 2012 Manny Pacquiao and Timothy Bradley faced each other in what became one of the most controversial boxing matches in the sport's history. Manny, a 7-2 favorite at the time, seemed as though he controlled every aspect of the fight, and the numbers didn't argue that, however the judges somehow clarified Bradley as the split decision winner and new WBO welterweight champion!

Manny suffered his first defeat in over 15 bouts whereas Bradley became champ and to this day is still undefeated.  The rematch set to take place on April 12, 2014 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV is one of the most highly anticipated boxing matches in the past two decades.

Both fighters have endured a lot since the June 9, 2012 match and both realize they will have to be at their best to come out on top in April.  Back in 2012 Manny, a strong leader and congressman from the Philippines, was 7-2
favorite however this time around will be much different at the Vegas sports books. Odds makers are already saying Pacquiao could be less than a 2-1 favorite to reclaim his title over the American fighter Timothy Bradley.

Career Records:

Timothy Bradley (current WBO welterweight champion):  31-0 with 12 KO

Manny Pacquiao (former WBO welterweight champion): 55-5-2 with 38 KO

To see prices and seating availability for the April 12, 2014 Manny Pacquiao vs Timothy Bradley tickets visit www.HotBoxTickets.com and use the special discount code found on our Hot Box Tickets (HBT) Facebook Page
